Ricky Wilkins For Congress

Ricky Wilkins For Congress

What a wonderful man and community servant this man. ding! Marketing Studio eagerly partnered with the Ricky Wilkins For Congress team to represent underdog newcomer, Ricky E Wilkins, in his race to become TN-District 9’s next Congressman. We worked along the committee’s primary marketing firm to develop the brand, voice, and messaging for Ricky Wilkins throughout his campaign. ding! oversaw Facebook profiles for the candidate, media relations, video and photography services, and the online donation process through the candidate’s website. Additionally, our team produced a bi-weekly e-newsletter to keep interested parties and media updated on all of the happenings during the campaign. On the final election day, our Director of Marketing joined the campaign manager, treasurer, and office manager to coordinate polling activities, maintain the busy headquarters, and audit the final vote report.

In the end, the incumbent Congressman retained his seat but left Wilkins in a competitive position with a promising future and strong, respected brand throughout the Mid-south.

Bluff City Classic

Bluff City Classic

In 2012, the twenty year old Bluff City Classic made the abrupt decision to cancel the remainder of the summer season basketball series that has become a staple in Memphis sports. In the Spring of 2013, organizer Stanley Blue reached out to ding! mktg’s management team to discuss the potential of continuing the Classic during the Summer. The result: A highly successful BCC season featuring some of the most-watched newcomers on the Grizzlies roster and several NCAA rosters from around the region; multi-day coverage each week by all local sports journalists; real-time engagement from “fan-casters” who shared their experience with social media followers and fans.

National Association Of Black Journalists

The National Associations Of Black Journalists (NABJ) recognize that ding! mktg knows how to create a system that works for small organizations. Prior to our involvement, over 100 unauthorized social media profiles, unofficial websites, and outdated discussion forums were spread across the web with the NABJ’s proprietary trademarks. This was due in part to sincere NABJ members aspiring to create an online presence.

ding! mktg created a detailed database of all accounts, suggested actions to take, an updated social media set-up and engagement process, and executive-level steps to maintain a professional presence online. The ding! mktg management team continues to serve as a consulting extension for the NABJ, their social media management, and their executive board members.

Mrs. Rhonda Boutte reached out to ding! mktg’s team just 6 weeks prior to the launch of her makeup line, Pouts & Winks. ding! mktg sent out invitations to friends in the blogging community, media releases, and strategically placed PSAs. We called on the ding!papz to video and photography coverage of the event. We also coordinated Mrs. Boutte’s awesome team of volunteer glamour girls for the evening. The end-result was a glammed out vault packed with fashionable women, bloggers, and friends. Much of the first line of Pouts & Winks even sold on the spot.

Allison Person joined the ding!Fam shortly after the grand opening of Salon 22. With our help, we developed the business and brand that have now become the premiere extension salon in Memphis. This salon is located in the very busy Wolfchase-area of Cordova, TN, where it houses a half-dozen styling experts and serves as the home to hundreds of beauty clients – or Bombshells, as Salon 22 calls them – throughout West Tennessee.
